In the Chess app on your Mac, choose Chess Preferences, then select Allow Player to Speak Moves. When you see the feedback window (it shows a microphone icon with a fluctuating loudness indicator), press the shortcut key (the key you specified in Dictation preferences), then speak a command. In the beginning it was based on Ubuntu, but starting from version 4.0 it adopted custom package management (called YPK) and system installer, though the underlying live medium is still built using Ubuntu's Casper tool. PowerMate is compatible with Mac OS X, and Windows XP and Vista. Simply download the appropriate software for your operating system from the Downloads section on the right side of the PowerMate support page. This software is not fully compatible with Windows 7, 8, or 10. Several apps for iPhone and iPad with some updates have made it to the Mac OS as well in the recent past. Some of these apps include Maps, Messages, Notes, Photos, and iBooks. Amongst all, the Messages app has been one of the greatest updates so far as it lets you send and receive text messages on a Mac system without even taking out your phone.

StartOS (formerly Ylmf OS) is a discontinued Chinese Linux distribution. StartOS is an operating system which is free and open-source software. In the beginning it was based on Ubuntu,[4] but starting from version 4.0 it adopted custom package management (called YPK) and system installer, though the underlying live medium is still built using Ubuntu's Casper tool.[5][6] Its user interface closely resembles that of MicrosoftWindows XP.[7] The distribution was originally not available in the English language, though shortly after the initial release in late 2009[8] an English-language version of Ylmf OS was released.[9]

Despite the very similar likeness to Windows XP's Luna theme—the default theme for Windows XP—Microsoft does not appear to be planning to take any sort of action against the operating system or its developers.[7][10]

Ylmf OS 4.0 looks similar to Windows Vista, but also has a Mac OS X cursor scheme.
