Nova Development Corp., publishers of the Explosion line of graphics software, is debuting Print Explosion Deluxe on Mac OS X at Macworld Expo New York.
As an update to Print Explosion, Print Explosion Deluxe will also support previous versions of the Mac OS and offers more than 8,800 ready-made designs including over 3,000 greeting cards and 90,000 premium-quality graphics.

Built for Mac OS X, Print Explosion Deluxe takes advantage of all the power and flexibility of Mac OS X, yet also supports earlier versions of Print Explosion and the Mac operating system because it’s Carbonized, Bloxberg said. It provides full support for EPS graphics and even prints them clearly on non-PostScript inkjet printers, he added. Print Explosion Deluxe allows users to drag and drop graphics from other applications, including Art Explosion clip art libraries.
Print Explosion comes with thousands of professionally-designed templates for more than a dozen different project types, including greeting cards, signs & posters, flyers, banners, certificates, invitations, calendars, labels, letterheads, envelopes, business cards, fax cover sheets, report covers, postcards, party sets, gift tags, bookmarks, crafts, CD labels, electronic greetings, mousepads, T-shirts and Web pages.
Designed exclusively for the Mac, Print Explosion Deluxe packs a number of new features. A new Application Assistant lets users customize their designs from within the Assistant. Users can now integrate a database of names and addresses to create mailing labels. A new Quotation Database lets users choose one of 8,500 contemporary quotations to use in any project. Improved label support means you can create multiple labels and move through the designs making custom changes to any single label.
Users get a much higher quality EPS image than ever before, Bloxberg said. The new Publish to HTML lets you instantly create a Web page from many projects, he added. Using the new E-Mail Greeting category, users can now publish designs and e-mail them using any popular Mac e-mail application.

The user interface has been enhanced to allow easier operation and fast access to new features, Bloxberg said. It also follows the Aqua user interface guidelines.
