One of the main challenges was taking the models from Strata Vision in Mac OS 9 (Yes, the original is really THAT old!) and converting it to Strata Design 3D CX 8. We are also reprogramming Riddle of the Sphinx: The Awakening from scratch to take advantage of Unity’s game engine. So yeah, we have our work cut out for us. RiddleMeThis questionnaires can be hosted, via the RiddleMeThis Online Runtime (free with RiddleMeThis) on computer workstations (Windows or Macintosh) or on any webserver that supports PHP 4.x or later (i.e. Most web servers). All of RiddleMeThis's features are supported through a straightforward graphical user interface.

Holy crap! That just solved most of my major gripes with MC. Thanks!!!!!

Agreed. I think I still miss the old Spaces but this helps a lot. I also wish there were a regular mouse only way. Maybe something like right-clicking the Desktop/Space switches to it.

Am I misunderstanding your request? Because while in Mission Control, double clicking a Desktop/space activates it. Yes, it takes you to that space directly, and closes Mission Control. Did you want to be able to mouse-select it and stay in MC?

Yes, I want to basically do what this hint does without needing to touch the keyboard. I want to change screens and stay in mission control (from the mouse alone)

You might be able to accomplish this using MagicPrefs. I haven’t tried and only use it for 3-finger-click (Spaces) and middle-click. I am writing Spaces, because it hasn’t yet been updated for 10.7, but the setting now just invokes MC. I believe the next version will have new 10.7 specific settings/gestures.

I think that would just activate mission control. I want what this hint provides with the option key. Thanks though~

While MC is active, you can achieve this with:
Magic Mouse:
A two finger swipe left or right
Magic TrackPad:
three finger swipe left or right
Keyboard-only:
control-left or right

yes, same here. I have been looking for a way to do it with my not so magic trackpad of my old MacBook and I couldn't find it. Optimally I'd say that just hovering the mouse over a desktop should show it in the 'preview'. That would make MC much better than Spaces.

A two finger swipe (Magic Mouse), three finger swipe (Magic TrackPad), or control-arrow while in MC will also have the same results.

That's a good hint, but what I've been looking for is how to set up a keyboard shortcut to switch between spaces directly without having to go through mission control (like in the 'old' spaces).

Check out System Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > Mission Control. By default, I had ctrl-left arrow and ctrl-right arrow which let you scroll from left to right through your mission control spaces... but it also has options available for jumping to specifically numbered spaces if you prefer. You just have to create the desktops in mission control before it'll let you create the keyboard shortcut for it.

control - left or right
should work with out being in mission control.
same with
control - number of space desired (e.g. control - 2)

Then riddle me this.
I hit some button in Word for Mac and now every new Word doc is opened in a new Space.
Can't seem to get out of it. I can see them in Mission Control, but get all the open docs to be free floating on the same Space.
Thoughts?

Back when I used spaced, I could depress my center mouse wheel, then left click on the icon of a page that I wanted to see on any desktop. Two clicks and I was on any page on any of the 16 desktops that I keep open when doing software development. After more than a year stuck with mission control, I still find myself depressing the center mouse wheel and cussing. Haven't been able to find a way to make mission control recognize the mouse wheel. I even went out an bought an apple magic mouse, but I hated it and it failed after a couple of months anyway. Any suggestions on how to make the center mouse wheel click activate mission control appreciated.
