  1. New 2021 V3 model of rudder pedals ( first pedals shipped late 2020). Full changes will be published soon along with new pictures. There are no drastic visual changes in design. However, pedals have undergone substantial changes 'under the hood' resulting in beefier (sturdier) critical components and reshaped parts based on 7 years of experience in customer support.
  2. Dating Sim Dating sims (or dating simulations) are a video game subgenre of simulation games, usually Japanese, with romantic elements. The most common objective of dating sims is to date, usually choosing from among several characters, and to achieve a romantic relationship.

To use any of these key combinations, press and hold the keys immediately after pressing the power button to turn on your Mac, or after your Mac begins to restart. Keep holding until the described behavior occurs.

May 30, 2017 I remember how stable System 7.6.1 felt, the new UI overhaul in Mac OS 8 which felt so modern, the rocky initial transition to Mac OS X (I ran 10.0 on an iBook and found it to be so unusable I switched back to Mac OS 9 and then went to Mac OS X again with 10.1) that was then resolved and became a solid and fantastic OS.

  • Command (⌘)-R: Start up from the built-in macOS Recovery system. Or use Option-Command-R or Shift-Option-Command-R to start up from macOS Recovery over the Internet. macOS Recovery installs different versions of macOS, depending on the key combination you use while starting up. If your Mac is using a firmware password, you're prompted to enter the password.
  • Option (⌥) or Alt: Start up to Startup Manager, which allows you to choose other available startup disks or volumes. If your Mac is using a firmware password, you're prompted to enter the password.
  • Option-Command-P-R:Reset NVRAM or PRAM. If your Mac is using a firmware password, it ignores this key combination or starts up from macOS Recovery.
  • Shift (⇧): Start up in safe mode. Disabled when using a firmware password.
  • D: Start up to the Apple Diagnostics utility. Or use Option-Dto start up to this utility over the Internet. Disabled when using a firmware password.
  • N: Start up from a NetBoot server, if your Mac supports network startup volumes. To use the default boot image on the server, hold down Option-N instead. Disabled when using a firmware password.
  • Command-S: Start up in single-user mode. Disabled in macOS Mojave or later, or when using a firmware password.
  • T: Start up in target disk mode. Disabled when using a firmware password.
  • Command-V: Start up in verbose mode. Disabled when using a firmware password.
  • Eject (⏏) or F12 or mouse button or trackpad button: Eject removable media, such as an optical disc. Disabled when using a firmware password.

If a key combination doesn't work

If a key combination doesn't work at startup, one of these solutions might help:

  • Press and hold all keys in the combination together, not one at a time.
  • Shut down your Mac. Then press the power button to turn on your Mac. Then press and hold the keys as your Mac starts up.
  • Wait a few seconds before pressing the keys, to give your Mac more time to recognize the keyboard as it starts up. Some keyboards have a light that flashes briefly at startup, indicating that the keyboard is recognized and ready for use.
  • If you're using a wireless keyboard, plug it into your Mac, if possible. Or use your built-in keyboard or a wired keyboard. If you're using a keyboard made for a PC, such as a keyboard with a Windows logo, try a keyboard made for Mac.
  • If you're using Boot Camp to start up from Microsoft Windows, set Startup Disk preferences to start up from macOS instead. Then shut down or restart and try again.

Remember that some key combinations are disabled when your Mac is using a firmware password.

Use your social skills to work in a coffee shop and serve customers what they want

Some of the jobs out there may not be very glamorous, but they can be made more pleasant with the right attitude. Obviously, a great deal of will is required to see your life through different eyes, but maybe the results are worth the effort. Furthermore, having a more positive outlook can also help you get closer to other people and maybe find life-long friends along the way.

Serve your customers the coffee they order

Date (Almost) Anything Sim is a visual novel game in which you get the chance to work in a coffee shop and meet a variety of people as you prepare drinks for them. It’s not a very long, nor a very complex game, but it can be the perfect way to relax if you happen to have a bit of time on your hands. On the other hand, it can also get boring in a rush if you are expecting a deeper storyline.

The truth is that the game is not exactly serious, so it would be foolish to expect an intricate web of events to explain the plot. Instead, you are just a barista trying to get the right orders for your customers, and some of them may be interested in more than coffee. Dating and romance are an important part of the game, but even this aspect is kept as simple as possible.

Choose the ingredients with care

One of the first problems you run into is the fact that there’s no tutorial, so the recipes for every order have to be guessed. If you are a coffee lover you may be able to get some recipes right on the first try, but total newcomers won’t have the slightest idea what a latte contains. Granted, practice and trial and error is all that it takes, although that may prove to be too time-consuming for some.

The dating part of the game is not very complex, since all you need to do is have a short dialog and pick the right answers. It’s nice to interact with the game instead of watching it unfold by itself, on the other hand, since that’s the case with most kinetic visual novels. Speaking of which, the artwork is not great either, since only the characters are hand-drawn, while the backgrounds are plain pictures with a few filters on top.

A short experience with some untapped potential

When it’s all said and done, Date (Almost) Anything Sim has a few interesting ideas at its core, but it’s obvious that the developer did not take the project very seriously. Thus, there are too many flaws for the game to be entertaining for more than a few minutes, despite the multiple endings.
