Calav Mac OS
Cabal -version gives you the version of cabal you're running. If you want to see the version of cabal-install you have, run cabal info cabal-install and look at the versions installed line. For me on OS X, versions installed is unknown, after running cabal install cabal-install, which is not great. The following instructions are for Mac OS X v10.7.5 but should work with similar versions. We have not been able to create an account by going to System Preferences → Mail, Contacts and Calendars → Add Account. That option simply comes up with errors that you can't get past. The maximum version of Mac OS X, OS X, or macOS supported by each G3 and later Mac follows. For complete specs on a particular system, click the name of the Mac. For all Macs that are compatible with a specifc maximum supported version of Mac OS X - courtesy of EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Sort - click the OS of interest.
GUI applications on Mac OSX must be run as application bundles;these wrap an executable in a particular directory structure whichcan also carry resources such as icons, program metadata, otherbinaries, and copies of shared libraries.This package provides Cabal support for creating such applicationbundles.For more information about OSX application bundles, look for theBundle Programming Guide on the Apple Developer Connectionwebsite, http://developer.apple.com/.
